Guests consistently praise Sherwood Queenstown's relaxed atmosphere, spacious rooms, and convenient location, especially its proximity to local bus services for easy access to town. The on-site restaurant is a particular highlight, often hosting local events and serving delicious food. The availability of free on-site parking and amenities like a sauna and a kitchenette with silverware and plates are appreciated touches; however, some guests have found the rooms a bit dark or noted that some rooms could use a bit of updating. The beautiful lake and mountain views from some rooms also contribute to a memorable stay.

The location was advantageous since it was near the town center. our tour company conveniently picked me from the bus stop on frankton road. the restaurant accommodated my request for an early breakfast. It was before their usual hours. i appreciate the calm atmosphere of the building.
i had trouble with the lack of parking despite it being explained in the advertisement. there was no television in my room. the room lighting was insufficient for reading so i did not read in the evening.

a really comfortable, easy stay

spacious roomlovely touchesgreat dinner
I appreciated the great provisions in my room with a lake view. the room was very spacious. I noticed the lovely eco touches throughout. i highly recommend dinner at the on-site restaurant and breakfast at the cafe it has!!!
The self-laundry was disappointing. It cost $10 for a token to wash clothes, $10 for a token to dry them. the dryer did not even dry 50% of the clothes.
Facilities

I enjoyed the sauna. The hot water supply has clearly improved since previous visits, as it maintained a consistent temperature this time. there is easy access to town and the airport by car or bus. This is convenient.
Dining

The on-site restaurant features vegetables sourced directly from its own garden. the breakfast provided was good. The staff ensured fresh and quality ingredients, this is very important. the wine selection had knowledgeable help available, i sampled it.
